Obituary of Jack Thomas Graziano
Jack Graziano passed on June 9, 2017. Born in NYC on September 4, 1924 he was raised in both Manhattan and Brooklyn. He joined the Army during World War II and served overseas. When he returned home he married the sweetheart he had left at home. They had four children and five grandchildren who survive him. He remarried and they lived as snow birds until her passing in 2004. He then relocated to Viera in 2005 to be close to his family in Florida. He found a third love in his life with his friend and companion Joanne. In addition to his four children and five grandchildren he had two great grandchildren that were the joy of his life. He always looked forward to Sunday dinners with his family especially his great grandchildren to whom he was know as "G G".
After his retirement from the State of New York Financial Department he filled his time with volunteering, travel, tennis and being an entertainer. He became a Florida Guardian ad Litem where he advocated for children until just a few months before his passing. He was a singer and sought out every opportunity to use his voice in song either on stage or at Karaoke. The songs of Frank Sanatra and Jimmy Darante were the favorites in his repertoire performing his impression of Jimmy Darante just three weeks before his passing. He even made it to the the stage at the Henniger Theater and getting a full photo layout in the Florida Today TGIF front page. He was a regular at the Heritage Isles Club House, either being a part of the various stage productions or enjoying the pool room with friends.
He touched many people both young and old in his lifetime. From performing magic for children, singing for seniors and helping anyone who needed him. We are certain that as he appeared at the gates of heaven he heard "Welcome, my good and faithful servant".
A celebration of his life will be held at Heritage Isle Club House in Viera on Saturday July 15 2017 at 4 PM.
