Troy Simpson

Obituary of Troy Simpson

04/13/1964 ~ 05/07/2019 Cocoa Beach ~ Troy Simpson, 55, left us unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 7th, 2019. Troy’s passion in life was service, whether it is was cooking at one of the great establishments in the Cocoa Beach area, or his final career with his furry friends. Boarding and grooming dogs became a life for Troy. The animals were his solace; and we believe theirs as well. He spent most of the days in the yard with the visiting pups. He preferred to be outside in the fresh air with his best friend, Parker. Troy also had a soft spot for any stray that walked the street. He couldn’t say no to any animal, cat, dog, or bird, whether it had two legs or four. He would give the shirt off his back to take care of those animals if he had it. His personality was abounding with drama and entertainment. His wealth of knowledge would entice history buffs and any sports fanatics. Although he never had a loss for words, he typically insisted on having the last one, which explains how he became the Captain of the Debate Team in High School. He has worked with famous Authors, cooked in some of the best restaurants, and he read more international news than most people read US news. He wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. Troy had an eye for free forming pool designs. His talents showed no bounds. He will be missed by everyone that he crossed paths with. Troy is survived by his only son, Tyler Simpson; his mother, Redona Simpson; brother, Mike Simpson; two sisters, Sandra Dyal, and Tamera Barger; and nephews, Jordan Simpson, Patrick Simpson, and Jimmy Wise. He was predeceased by his Father Ted Simpson, and his nephew Dustin Barger. We are going to miss those heated debates! Memorial Service on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Florida Memorial family grave site. A memorial luncheon will be held at River Lakes Condominium Club House following the service. Everyone is welcome.
