Linda, I did not know you, but Stew and I were very good friends in Highschool. The last time I saw Stew, I was visiting my mother in Ft. Thomas and was walking my son in a stroller – he is now 35. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I think he must have been visiting Thad Griggs, and when I saw him, I thought I was hallucinating because I had been told he died of a brain tumor. Anyway, he told me all about his wonderful wife and how happy he was and I was so happy for him. I think you all were living in N.Carolina at the time. Anyway, I’m so sad that he is gone, but I am so grateful that he had a wife that he loved so much and thought the world of. You gave him a very happy life. I’m so sorry for the empty space he must have left in your life. I regret I did not know him as a grown man, but I don’t think he changed much. I’m glad he had such a wonderful wife. I’m sorry I never got the chance to meet you. In the back of my mind, I have this memory of meeting you at that time in Ft. Thomas, but alas, memory is not what it used to be, so I’m not sure. Stew was very special, very talented, and a very true and loyal friend, as I’m sure he was a husband. He will be missed by many people here in Ft. Thomas for sure.
