This is a poem written by Lena’s son David Stone for Mother’s Day one year and it seems to fit for now.
To Sleep!
To Dream!
Know the Beauty
Of God in peace.
Green Pastures I see,
Resting By
Still Waters.
A Sweet Wind
Rustles the Leaves.
A Dove lifts it’s voice
In Song,
Amongst the Trees.
A scent from the
Blossom of a flower
Captures my heart.
Here
is God.
Wisdom’s Beauty,
Knowledge Holy,
Peace.
Rest in the Lord.

I will greatly miss you, Aunt Lea! I am thankful for the special time we have had together over the last 17 years but especially in the final years the Lord gave you. I will miss coming to see you after work, it was just what I did. I am so thankful of the relationship you had with our Lord and Savior and for the assurance that I will see you again when the Lord calls me home as well. I think of you being pain free and all well in heaven and being reunited with your son, David, as well as your sister and dad and mom. I know you are finally home. I am so glad for the assurance from God’s Word that I don’t have to sorrow as those who have no hope of eternal life in Christ. Because I know that you and I have realized we were sinners separated from God by our sins but we accepted the free gift He gave us in the death of His only begotten Son who took the punishment for our sins. We asked Him to forgive.our sins and asked Him to live in us and accepted the promise of eternal life that His resurrection assures to those who believe. Because He lives and we trusted Him, we will live eternally with Him. Aunt Lea, I love you very much and will see you when I am finally home too. Wait for me at Jesus’ feet!
