Obituary of Robert Phillip Tyson

Robert Phillip Tyson, 66, of Melbourne, FL, died March 23, 2014, at the Palm Bay Hospice Care Center. He was born June 14, 1947, in Richmond, VA, the son of Russell James Tyson, Sr. and Marie Blunt Tyson. Bob attended East Forsyth High School in Kernersville, NC and graduated from Cross Keys High School in Atlanta, GA. He was very active in scholastic sports. Bob was an avid golfer and especially enjoyed his annual spring golf outing to Ocean Isle Beach with his brother and Kernersville friends. Bobby retired from the USAF after 23 years of service as a Master Sergeant. At the time of his death, he was employed by Mnemonics, Inc. as chief of security. He is survived by his wife, Dianne; children, Robert Phillip Tyson, Jr., Christie Lee Tyson, and Michelle Tyson; three grandchildren, Zac, Jacob, and Lillie; brother, Russell James Tyson, Jr.; and sister, Jeanne Marie Tyson Dennard. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
