Obituary of Laura Mae Hall Smith

Laura Mae Hall Smith, age 89, formerly of Bartow, Florida passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at her home in Rockledge. Laura was born on July 9, 1929 in Balm, Florida to the late Lawrence Collins and Annie Mae Stanaland. She was lovingly raised by her stepmother, Nila J. Whatley Collins. She leaves many mourning her loss including her son, Marcus E. Hall; daughter, Laura L. Martin; grandson, Lance E. Martin; granddaughters, Laura Elizabeth Martin and Amanda S. Martin-Hardin (Tyler Hardin); sisters, Evelyn McLelland, Doris Tharp, Alice McCaleb, Sally Kendrick and Jane Gardner; brothers, M. L. Collins and Bob Collins; and stepchildren, Chuck Smith and Charlen Nobel. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Marcus E. Hall and Charles Smith; sisters, Bonnie Fort and Eulene Virginia Collins and her brother, Wallace Collins. Mom loved her family more than life itself and always wanted the best for everyone. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hospice or charity of choice. We will be celebrating her life at various family gatherings over the next year.
