Jacob “Jake” Thomas Starkey
Age 34. Born on January 16, 1983 in Youngstown Ohio, the son of Amy and Harrell Starkey, died Sunday May 7, 2017
Currently lived in Jacksonville, Florida originally from Mecca, Ohio where he attended and graduated from Maplewood High School. Also resided for several years in Melbourne, FL.
Survived by mom Amy Starkey, sisters Samantha Starkey and Jaymee (Rosenberger) Davis brother-in-law Jordan Davis, nieces Amelia (8) and Eden (5) Davis all of Cardiff by the Sea, CA. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles and cousins as well as many friends who were considered extended family.
Preceded in death by father Harrell R. Starkey of Farmdale, OH, maternal and paternal grandparents and four uncles.
He was a garage door technician for A1A Overhead Garage doors in Jacksonville, FL. He had a passion for physical labor and was always a hard-worker.
Jake was full of life and had endless energy, and he was happiest when surrounded by friends and family. He was strong, generous and fiercely loyal. He had an infectious laugh and a smile that could light up any room. He will be deeply missed and in our hearts forever.
Services will be held Wednesday May 17th from 11am – 1pm at Coastline Community Church at 399 E Eau Gallie Blvd, Indian Harbor Beach, FL. Followed by a Celebration of Jake’s Life at the pavilion at Irene H. Canova Park, 2289 Highway A1A, Indian Harbor Beach, FL. Feel freeto bring a covered dish or drink to share.
