Obituary of Forrest K. Saville
Forrest K. (Rusty) Saville, Jr., passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 in Melbourne, Florida. He was born May 25, 1934 in White Plains, NY, to Forrest and Margaret Saville.
In 1947, Rusty moved to Riverdale, MD where he worked after school and on the weekends at the local drug store until 1950. From 1951 to 1957 he work as a Good Humor ice cream salesman. In 1958, Rusty started an independent business selling ice cream, pizza and sandwiches out of food trucks. He was a great entrepreneur and in 1965 he established and co-owned the Sanijohn Portable Toilet Company in the Washington DC area. He retired in 2012 and moved to Melbourne Beach with his wife Jeannette.
Rusty was very active in the community and served on the boards of the Portable Sanitation Association International and the Salvation Army. He was a committee member of the Boy Scouts of America and he was a member of several organizations including the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge and the Lions Club. Rusty enjoyed fishing and boating on the Chesapeake Bay with family and friends.
Rusty is survived by his loving wife, Jeannette, brother, David Saville, children, Charlene Nicol, Steven, David, Glenn, Sandra and Catherine Barger, stepchildren, William Summers, Cathie Alexander, Michelle Errera and Michael Fillipone, 24 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.There will be a viewing Wednesday, September 30, 2015 from 11 am to 1 pm with a funeral service following at 1 pm at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 Hickory St., Melbourne. Interment will follow at Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge.In lieu of flowers please donate to the Salvation Army.
