I got to know Bill through Galaxy Aviation, like a lot of us. What a truly nice man. Forty years separated us in age, but you’d never know it. He was such a pleasure to talk to, and a very genuine guy. Whether it was aviation or my dog, anything you asked Bill was responded to with thought and concern. He was truly a pleasure to be around. Godspeed, Doc.

At Daiker’s Inn in Old Forge , N. Y. , behind the cash register, is mounted a old school house bell that Bill and I “ acquired “ when he was practicing in Vermont.
When you ,or if you , visit the Inn, ask that they ring the bell in memory of Bill.
Thanks for all the memories Bill , it was a blast. –

My sincere condolences to you and Bill’s family. He definately was one of a kind and his passing will leave a huge void in so many lives.
I have so many wonderful memories of him, always a kind word and always with a smile. From the airport and flying, to meandering down the West Canada in a tube and back to your place. Anyone who knew him, knew a genuinely good person. He will be missed. May your wonderful memories and the love he had for you outweigh the difficult loss your are experiencing in time

To Judy and Family…
My sincere sympathy to you all. I knew Bill best through his friendship with my Brother, Dave Frank. And, living in the Holland Patent area for almost thirty years. His children were friends of my four children (the Schreppel’s). He was always a gentleman and his smile and laughter will always be remembered. It was a pleasure knowing him.

Doc DuBiel “Dubie” was unique. He was the BEST! Best man, a guy could ever have. Always ready for any outdoor adventure. From dinner at the old Captains Table to planting floral at my pond, he was always willing to be there. We spent countless hours together from skiing Gore Mt. to Scuba diving shipwrecks off Grand Caman Island. From floating the West Canada Creek to shoveling snow off his roof. From Salmon fishing on Lake Ontario to enjoying a cold beer on his deck. He never wavered, always his pleasant self with a smile on his face. Of course playing golf together at Glass Hill or Alder Creek was one thing perhaps, he looked forward to the most. Always enjoying it and never ever caring who won. Least I forget, he was awful good at building me a Scotch & Soda.
His values and admiration towards people was most astonishing. His family was most fortunate to have had him for so many years. We all will miss him, but I for one will never forget him. May God Bless Him. Doc, Rest in Pease!

I met Bill at a CNY Christmas party in 1971, at The Brewster Inn on Cazenovia Lake. That was the beginning of a friendship lasting 47 years. Besides sharing our profession as Veterinarians, we spent many hours enjoying weekly lunches during which we shared the highs and lows of our professional and personal lives. We regularly had dinner with our wives, attended veterinarian conferences and vacationed together in his beloved Cayman Islands. We also shared a practice in north Utica for a few years. Bill was a special person and amazing friend…..one of the “good guys”. He was a cheerleader who reveled more in your success than his own. The world was a better place with him in it and he will be truly missed. I would like to symbolically raise a toast Bill with his favorite beverage…. “a Glass of Milk”…..Rest in Peace, my friend.
