Obituary of Helene Augusta Rasmussen

Helene Augusta (nee Magelee) Rasmussen of Merritt Island FL, age 81, passed on Sunday, August 2, 2015 after a brief battle with cancer, while under hospice care in Florida. Born in Whitehall, Wisconsin she was a long time resident of Tomah, Wisconsin and Greeley, Colorado before moving to Florida four years ago to be near family. She completed her college degree later in life and retired after a long career as of real estate office manager/broker in Greeley, Colorado. An incredible cook, she got great joy from knitting caps for newborns at her local hospital. Her family includes her husband of 62 years, Harry Rasmussen; children, Greg Rasmussen (Wendy) of Hubertus, Wisconsin, Lynn Kendall (Walter) of Granbury, Texas, Chris Rasmussen (Margaret) of Melbourne, Florida, and Amy Wedow (John) of Merritt Island, Florida; her grandchildren, Chad, Mandy, Taylor, Rebecca, Courtney and Jacob; and two great grandchildren.Donations in her memory should be considered to the American Cancer Society.
