Obituary of Jerry Tolle

~ July 29,1962 – January 15, 2019 ~ ~ Palm Bay, Florida ~ Jerry passed away Tuesday, January 15th peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Yakima, Washington to Jim and Bonnie (Taylor) Tolle. He lost his father at only a year old. He attended East Vally High school where he wrestled. He stayed in Yakima area until he started working in cellular communications in 1986. He moved to Texas and then on to Los Angeles, but worked out of the country a lot. In late 1992 he met Belkis Mateo while in Venezuela and they were married by 1994 (January 12) in the Dominican Republic. They moved to Coulee City, Washington and lived at Blue Lake. They settled down to start a family near his mom and stepdad. His son, Jim, and daughter, Jennifer, were both born there. Later they bought a home in Moses Lake where they stayed until 2001, when they moved to Palm Bay, Florida to be closer to Belkis’ family which had migrated to the Orlando area. Jerry worked for AT&T for 25 years before being diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. In his years he was a hard worker, an avid fisherman, coach, sports fanatic and, most importantly, a family man. Faithfully supporting the Seattle Seahawks and Mariners. But he most enjoyed coaching both Jim and Jennifer in their sports escapades (football, basketball, baseball/softball). There was no place too far to travel for a sporting event. He spent countless hours coaching his two children and countless other youth. Receiving the Key to the City of Palm Bay from the Mayor in 2010 for coaching 15 and 16-year old PBELL (Palm Bay East Little League), to the Senior League World Series. Jerry loved fishing from the time he was a small child. He knew all the good fishing holes in both Washington and Florida. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Nettie Tolle, as well as, Clifford and Katherine Taylor, all of Washington State. He’s survived by his wife of 25 years, Belkis. As well as his children, Jim and Jennifer Tolle, all of Palm Bay, Florida. His mother, Bonnie (Cliff) Hamilton of Coulee City, Washington. And sister Connie Rummel of Palm Bay, Florida. His three nieces and nephews (Connie’s children), Jeff Herron, Rikki and Emily Rummel all from Tampa, FL. He also had countless other nieces and nephews from Belkis’ side that he would treat as his own flesh and blood. There will be a celebration of life at Fred Lee Park, 895 Emerson Drive NE, Palm Bay, Florida Saturday, January 26th from 10:30AM to 6PM, with official readings starting at 11:30AM.
