Obituary of Shirley Sobel

Shirley Sobel, 89 passed away Friday September 20, 2019, peacefully at Vitas Hospice House in Rockledge, Florida. Born in Toronto, Canada, she moved to Plainfield, New Jersey where she raised her family and moved to South Florida in 1988. After her husband passed away she moved to Palm Bay in 2001. A homemaker and former Walmart associate. She loved home decorating and enjoyed multiple crafts including quilting and reading but most of all she loved shopping. A loving mother, her family includes her son, Aaron and his wife Jane of Tombstone, Arizona, son, Max and his wife Anne of Bridgewater, New Jersey, son, Leslie and his wife Betty/Liz of Palm Bay, Florida, and daughter, Melissa of Denver, Colorado. She is also survived by her sister, Donna of Peterborough, Canada, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by her Husband Herbert and her son Mark and daughter in law Beth of Plainfield, New Jersey. Cremation will be private. The Celebration of Life planned for 10 a.m. on March 19th at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 950 Malabar Road, SE Palm Bay, has been POSTPONED due to the Corona Virus–We will update the service information once it has been rescheduled.  Thank You In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saylors Private School or VITAs Community Connection, PO Box 645352 Cincinnati, OH 45264-5352.
