Obituary of Janice Marie Friedline Heuston
Some would say, “the bluest skies you’ve ever seen are in Seattle.” Jan would disagree (not uncommon for Jan). Jan would say take I-90 over the Cascade Mountains, lose your umbrella, and drive into the Yakima Valley where you will truly find the bluest skies, reaching up from the arid rolling hills, filled with the smell of apple blossoms.
Jan was born on February 27, 1930 in Yakima, Washington to Claude Friedline and Gladys Ghormley. Jan died peacefully on March 6, 2017 at Indian River Center in Melbourne, Florida.
Jan forgot many memories due to Alzheimer’s Disease, but she never forgot that she was a registered nurse, that she grew up on an apple orchard and that God was loving, compassionate and good. So was Jan.
Jan is survived by her husband of 63 years, Gene E. Heuston, her two sons Joel (Danielle), and Stephen (Denise); her four grandchildren Thomas, Victoria, Chelsea and Lexie; sister-in-law Carol Hamilton and her niece Sherry Ann Milton (Bob). She is predeceased by her son Charles and brother Jim Friedline.
Service at 11 am, March 17 at Suntree United Methodist Church, 7400 North Wickham Road, Melbourne, FL 32940.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross.
