Obituary of William Henry Allen

Bill Allen passed away peacefully at the Hospice of St. Francis in Titusville, Florida on May 31, 2018 at the age of 88. Born January 14, 1930 in Waterbury, Connecticut.  Bill spent his childhood in Naugatuck, Connecticut, after graduating school, he moved with his parents to New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Bill joined the U.S. Army and fought in the Korean War. After the war, Bill returned to New Smyrna Beach and was a carpenter and home builder. Bill is preceded in death by his parents William H. Sr. and Katherine L. Allen. He is survived by children William H. Allen, III, Thomas B. Allen; stepsons, James C. Bannister and Brett C. Bannister and wife Patricia M. Allen (McConnell). Bill was stalwart, sensitive and kind as a husband and father. His wisdom, sense of humor and many talents will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Interment will be June 26 at 10 AM and will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery 5525 US-1, Mims, FL. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 21 at Coronado Civic Center, 150 N. Pine St, New Smyrna Beach, FL.
