Johnny lived two doors down from us on Memory Dr. I considered him a good and helpful friend. I last saw him at our 20th reunion. He was very kind to the new immigrant. I look forward to our next reunion at our Father’s house. God bless him and his family.

My prayers for the Hill family. I have known Johnny since the second grade. We were in the Boy Scouts together. We weren’t close over the years but I have good memories of our early years. May God bless you all.

I am sorry to hear about John’s passing. I have known Johnny since second grade. We were in many of the same classes all through school. We had many good times through Wilkinson Gardens, Murphy, Butler. We grew up on bicycles and base ball. And he was a track star of sorts I remember we built a pole vault for his attempts in his back yard on Memory Dr. As kids we had several “firsts” together: first beer, first cigarette, … He left Augusta and went into the Coast Guard. When he returned we lived together for a year or so in Atlanta while we both worked for Southern Bell. I visited him and Judy when they lived on Lake Allatoona back in the mid seventies. Since then he moved to Orlando, FL and I to New Brunswick, NJ both for better jobs: he an electrical engineer and I a physics teacher. I lost touch with him after his move to Florida. We had some good times, I remember him fondly as a childhood friend. My thoughts, prayers and condolences for Judy, Trudy, Mrs. Elizabeth Hill, Julie, and Shirley.
