Obituary of Iva Headley
Iva (Micki) Headley passed away quietly at her home in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with lung cancer on 02/24/18.
Micki Headley was born on 08/10/1932 in Bristol, VA. to George & Eva Hulme. Her father loved to entertain and performed in the circus as Bumpsy Anthony, the original sad sack clown. Her mother was one of the famous Hanna triplets who performed many aerial acts in the circus. When Micki was born, she was born to be an entertainer.
Micki was retired from the Federal Government as a Senior Procurement analyst where she was the contracting directorate functional expert for all matters relating to contract management policy issues in contracting issues. She is survived by her two son’s Mike Headley & wife Charlotte of Tampa, Florida and David Headley & wife Sandy of Atlanta, Georgia. She had three granddaughters, Kristen Headley-Black, Samantha Headley & Shelby Headley and one great Granddaughter, Lily Black, who called her GG. She leaves behind the special man of her life, Fred Bowman, who took such wonderful care of the love of his life.
Micki was known for her angelic voice and enthusiastic presence. She loved singing karaoke and was a talented entertainer that touched many lives. She performed and contributed her time and talent to many variety shows and theatre groups in support of various charitable organizations. St. Jude’s Children Hospital was close to her heart and was her favorite charity. Micki never knew a stranger and always saw the value of life in everyone she met. The sweet recollections she leaves behind will carry all who knew her. Eternal joy, happiness and memories will stay in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers the family requests your donations be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital in honor of Iva (Micki) Headley.
There will be celebration of life for Micki on April 15, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Moose Lodge # 2367 located in Satellite Beach.
