Obituary of Ralph Lewis Gentles
Ralph L. Gentles passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 7, 2015 ending his cruel battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He is at peace in heaven.
He was born to Lewis & Margaret (Williamson) Gentles on June 29, 1928 in Bronx, NY.
Ralph proudly served with the United States Marine Corps during World War II in China and the early Korean Conflict. He retired as an aeronautical engineer with Rockwell, Inc. in Columbus, OH after 35 years.
Ralph is survived by wife and soul mate Robyn (Rinehart) Gentles, who were together 35 years; children David Gentles of Melbourne, FL, Tom Gentles (Linda) of Johnson City, TN, Rana Gentles Groves (Bill) of Wake Forest, NC, Ralph ‘Chip’ Gentles, Jr (Lisa) of Warminster, PA, Genny Gentles Thacker (Tony) of Belleville, FL, and James Gentles (Michelle) of Leesburg, FL; step-children Bob Potter (Tiffany) of Pataskala, OH, and Bill Wisniewski of Columbus, OH; grandchildren Marley Ann Michels, Jeremy, Aaron, and Ben Gentles, Philip and Debbie Groves, Michael, Chris and Missy Gentles, Sarah and Zach Thacker, Justin Gentles, and Darienne and Curtis Potter; three great-grandchildren; and sister Margaret Gentles of Bronx, NY.
He also leaves his sweet cat Blackie and his little dogs Max and Bailey – always by his side.

Special heartfelt thanks to Ellis and Joann Caudill who have been such a blessing during these difficult times. Especially to our God in heaven who will help us carry on until we meet again in heaven.
