Obituary of Emma Arlene Jones

E. Arlene Jones, 86 years young, completed her earthly tasks at William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, FL surrounded by the love of her four daughters. She now resides with our Lord and Savior and her heavenly family which includes her beloved husband of 63 years, Robert W. Jones, who predeceased her just one year ago. She was born in Utica, NY in 1928 as Emma Arlene Zeiter. She married Robert Jones in 1950. They remained in New York until 1969 when they moved to Florida. She lived in both Vero Beach where she worked as a secretary and in Palm Bay where she worked in purchasing at Harris Corp. Daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, (great) grandmother, friend, and neighbor, Arlene was very involved with her family. She was always there to listen and share in all their challenges as well as celebrations. She was fun-loving and had a playful, teasing wit that made her ageless and timeless. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Arlene leaves behind her four children and their spouses (Lynn and Dana Pappadouplos of Vero Beach, FL; Eunice and Jeffrey Search of West Melbourne, FL; Joyce and Michael Snell of Yorktown, VA; and Karen and Michael Lawless of Winchester, VA), nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Eunice Gehringer, her sister-in-law Geraldine Zeiter both of Utica, NY and a slew of dear nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. She was predeceased by her husband, her sister Betty Leuthauser, and brother William Zeiter. Her daughters Lynn, Eunice, Joyce and Karen selected this poem by an unknown author for the comfort of all who knew mom.
