Obituary of Patricia Ann Braun
Patricia Ann Robison was born at home in Newkirk, Oklahoma on November 20, 1934. She was one of seven children born to James (Railroad worker) and Ida (Homemaker) Robison and grew up in Duncan Oklahoma before moving to Chicago Illinois.
While in Chicago, Patricia met the love of her life, John “Jack” Braun at a roller skating rink and they were later married on March 27, 1954. They had two daughters, Rene’ (Ingram) and Leslee (Brimer) before moving to Melbourne, Florida in 1959. Their son Reid Allan was born in December of 1965.
Jack became a motion picture, still and animation photographer for the space program at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station while Patricia focused on raising a family. Patricia flourished as a homemaker, wife and mother. She was a loving and caring individual who worked hard to make sure all who knew her knew they were loved. When a young mother needed help, she and Jack opened their home and took them in, making sure they had a place to stay. When a young teenager needed a place to go, they were the first to step forward and provide for that young man.
Patricia was well known for her warm hugs and stories of many people seeking her out for that comfort are abundant. Her outstretched arms when you walked in the room showed the love she had for each person she touched. “She gives the best hugs” is a familiar statement from people who loved her.
Patricia had a loving, giving heart who loved her family beyond measure. She held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. “See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to a place I have prepared.” (Exodus 23:20).
Patricia and her husband Jack were married for 60 years until his passing in 2014.
She is survived by her daughters Rene’ (Gary) Ingram, Leslee (Mark) Brimer, and son Reid (Brandy) Braun. She also leaves behind six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 10 am on Saturday, August 24th at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 S. Hickory Street in Melbourne.
