Obituary of Helen Ruth Frech – Christensen

Helen Frech Christensen, 83 was united with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 16, 2018. Born in Nashville, TN, she moved to Melbourne with her husband, in 1959 from Norfolk VA. Helen served whole heartedly as a wife, mother and dedicated Christ-Follower. She was a former Rectora of the Cursillo Movement, and member of The Daughters of the King, where she was a longtime parishioner at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Melbourne, FL. She more recently worshiped at Calvary Chapel of West Melbourne for the past 9 years. A loving and devoted wife and mother, her surviving family includes her husband, Philip J. Christensen of 61 years, currently of Malabar, FL; daughter, Lisa Kay Christensen Baker and her husband, Ken of Orlando, FL; son, John Eric Christensen of Orlando, FL; son, Kevin Robert Christensen of Malabar and his wife, Jeniene; grandchildren, Rachel, Sarah, Hannah, Erica, Helen Ashley, James, Kaelyn and Johanna. Memorial Services are scheduled for January 5th at 11:00 am at Saint John’s Episcopal Church, 610 Young Street, Melbourne, Fl. (Old Eau Gallie). A reception will be in the Parish Hall, immediately following the internment of ashes in the church garden.
