Obituary of Oliver Redding Bolger
Oliver Redding Bolger, 20, of Merritt Island, Florida passed away April 22, 2017. He was born May 15, 1996 in Cocoa Beach, Florida, the beloved son of Mike and Sami (Bashlor) Bolger. He went to Tropical Elementary school and graduated from Edgewood Junior-Senior high School in Merritt Island. He began his college studies at Cornell University before transferring to the University of Central Florida where he was currently studying Mathematics and Computer Science. He excelled academically and looked forward to working as an actuary when he graduated.
Oliver was a beautiful soul with an earnest and pure spirit that we will always carry within us. Although he was known for many gifts, his passions were music, math, and skateboarding. He sought new adventures, had a thirst for knowledge, and was inherently creative. For his family and friends he was the kindest and gentlest person we knew and we are left with those memories through his beautiful writings, musings, and songs.
Oliver is survived by his parents, Mike and Sami Bolger of Merritt Island, his brother, Alex (Gainesville), and his sister Anna (Merritt Island). He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Jack and Mary Helen Bashlor of Mims, Florida; and his paternal grandmother Alice (Ed) Bolger of Oxford, Ohio. He is also survived by three aunts, two uncles, six cousins, and many close friends.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Ammen Funeral Home in Rockledge. The funeral will be held on Saturday, May 6 at 11:00am at Georgianna United Methodist Church.
