Obituary of Angie Nina Conaway

Angie (Nina) Conaway, 77, passed away Monday, January 25th, 2016. Angie was a devoted wife, loving mother and stepmother, and caring grandmother. Angie won the hearts of many over the years. Most knew her from the service industry, where she took care of them at several establishments such as Peck’s, 5th Avenue, and The Zoo Room. She finally had the dream of becoming a lounge owner, and who could ever forget Angie’s Zoo Too, a home away from home to many. Some knew her as family, always there to help, reaching out to her as Sam or Susie Q. And still others would call her mom, a mother figure who would give the shirt off her back and yet still tell it like it was. She always was respected and looked up to, which is more than she ever asked for in return. This Earth has lost a beautiful soul, but has gained an angelic spirit who will always look after us. There will be a celebration of life held soon with the date, time, and place to be determined.
