Obituary of Joseph E. Christy

Joseph E. Christy Jr. passed away on February 17, 2017 at the age of 75. He was a beloved husband, father, and a devout man of faith. He is survived by his former wife Carole Ann Christy and their children; daughter Ann-Marie Christy Nickerson whose husband is Bill and son is Cody; daughter Kathleen M. Christy Gilmore whose husband is John; his son Steven J. Christy whose wife is Cheryl; and also, his son by his first marriage; Alex Christy whose wife is Cheryl and daughter is Regina. He will be remembered fondly by his nephews Jon Christy and Charlie Christy Jr., by his extended family Ron Parrish and Michelle Potash; and by his aunt Fransis Robinson whose daughter is Ruby. He was a proud disabled veteran of the US Coast Guard and a retired postal carrier of 29 years. His passions were his participation at his church, motorcycle riding, and taking care of his cat Mr. Handsome. He shall be remembered for his incredible generosity to those who knew him. He was loved by many and will be missed by all who had the pleasure to call him Friend.
