Obituary of Jeannie Johnson McWhite
Ms. Jeannie Johnson McWhite was born July 2, 1946, in New York City to the late Eugene and Lizzie Johnson. She was educated in NYC Public School System with her late twin brother Eugene and younger brother Clyde Johnson. Later and her life, she became an Emergency Room Nurse in Bronx, New York. Before moving to Florida, she gave birth to her oldest son Albertus Johnson. Once in Florida, she worked as an Emergency Room Nurse at Jess Parrish (Parrish Medical Center). During her nursing career, she met the late Hartley McWhite in this union they had four children.
Shortly after she began to study the Bible and enjoy warm friendships with Jehovah’s Witnesses. After being baptized in October 1998, she had the privilege of serving as a pioneer for 6 years. Jeannie found great peace and fulfillment in her relationship with Jehovah God. She also found great joy and satisfaction in sharing the things she learned from the Bible with others. She was known for putting others before herself and for her personal handmade gifts. She did this faithfully up until her death on October 11, 2019. Our mother, grandmother, sister, and friend Jeannie now takes her rest and awaits the time when “all those in the memorial tombs will hear Jesus’ voice and come out.” – John 5:28-29
She leaves to cherish her memories: her children Albertus (Niyoka) Johnson, DeWayne, Daphine, Jamaire and Jamaine, two grandsons Omari and Sidney Johnson, a brother Clyde Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4770 Curtis Blvd, Cocoa.
