Obituary of Peter V. Garcia
PALM BAY – Peter V. Garcia, 58, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018, surrounded by his family at Holmes Regional Medical Center. Born in Santa Ana, CA, he moved to Palm Bay in 1994 from California.
Peter Garcia was a man of many trades. Most recently a manager of several Auto Zones in the Palm Bay/Melbourne area, and previously a fire fighter/EMT for 16 years as a member of the United States Air Force. Pete served to protect our country during Desert Storm. While stationed at Patrick Air Force Base, he also trained many NASA astronauts in fire safety. In addition, he was a past Sears and Kmart employee within management and then later, asset protection as well as a real estate agent and all-time handyman. Within his community, he was on the Board of American Legions, post 117 for many years. He was also involved with the Candlelighters of Brevard before and after the passing of his second eldest daughter. Pete was also supportive of Boy Scouts of America and coaching baseball teams during the earlier years of his two sons and three daughters. Pete also enjoyed singing at many local establishments and has passed on this musical legacy to his children. He will forever sing in our hearts.
A loving and supportive father, his family includes his beloved wife, Alexandra Garcia; sons, Christopher and Richard; daughters, Elizabeth, Stephanie, and Kimberley; and grandchildren, Kayden, Maclin, Kai, Ethan, Elyjah, Kamdyn. Peter was a brother to Raymond, Victor, Mary, and Gloria, who’s parent were Raymond Sr. and Gloria Garcia. He is loved and missed by many.
Service is scheduled for 1:00pm., Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Our Lady of Grace Church, 300 Malabar Rd SE, Palm Bay, FL 32907.
