Obituary of David Wayne Evans

David Wayne Evans, 80, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Staten Island, New York, he was a long term resident of Long Island, New York and settled in Melbourne, Florida. He retired from Grumman Aerospace where he worked as an Aviation Technician. He was an avid New York Yankees fan as well as the New York Giants. He was proud to have participated in many Pro-Am bowling tournaments and obtained two perfect 300 games. As he got older, he enjoyed playing golf and even achieved a “Hole-In-A-One”.  Affectionately known for his New York humor and nicknamed “Grumpy”. A loving father, his family includes his children, Kenneth (Fabio) Evans, Patricia (David) Falk, Gregory (Trina) Evans and Denise (Keith) Scheidel; his grandchildren, Kevin, Andrew, Christopher (Cassandra) Daniel, Gina, Janelle, Kelsey and Sarah; his two great-grandchildren: Emma and Connor; he also leaves behind his sister Catherine Backiel and his daughter-in-law Annamarie Evans. David was preceded in death by his son Peter, his mother Anne, and brothers Robert and John. There are no services scheduled.
