Obituary of Elaine Korkowski
Elaine Korkowski, 59, a former resident of Eltingville, who is remembered as a truly amazing, strong and spiritual woman, died on January 15, 2017 at her home in Melbourne, FL, after a two year battle with Ovarian Cancer.
Born at St. Vincent’s Hospital on September 29, 1957. Elaine graduated from St. Joseph By The Sea High School and worked at SI Savings Bank. She also worked as a volunteer at Holy Child Pre-School during the 1980’s & 90’s.
She moved to West Melbourne, FL in 2016 to be with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband William of 39 years, two sons William and Steven, their wives Heather and Christina. She is also survived by her older brother Frank Liekefet and his wife Gwen, her older sister Bernadette Engahausen and her husband Roy, her twin brother Donald and his wife Denise. Finally she is survived by her three grandchildren Skylar, Sean and Scott Korkowski.
A wake will be held 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care, 1001 Hickory Street, Melbourne, FL 32901.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday 11 a.m., Jan. 18 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1710 Hickory Street, Melbourne, FL 32901.
