Obituary of Rebekah Rosemarie Honick

Rebekah Rosemarie Honick was born on March 29th, 1976 in Huntington, NY, to Patricia (Patti) and the late Gary Honick. She was then raised and loved for a good portion of her life by the late Rob Simpson alongside Patti. They moved to Merritt Island, FL in 1988, where she attended Jefferson Middle School, and then relocated back to the NY area in 1992.  Rebekah graduated class of 1994 from North Port High School in New York and received her Bachelors in Accounting from The University of Central Florida in 2004. Rebekah’s life was blessed by two beautiful children, Delea Rose in 1994 and Emery Caleb in 2006.  They were her world and every moment of her days were spent honoring them.  One of her personal greatest accomplishments was being a parent.  Rebekah lit up every room she entered with her boisterous laugh and genuine smile.  She had a heart of gold and never hesitated to help the person next to, in front, or behind her with anything she could.  Rebekah was the go-to for everyone and never asked for anything in return. She is predeceased by her father, Gary Honick, and step-father, Rob Simpson. She is survived by her children, Delea Peterson and Emery Honick, her mother, Patti Devlin (Terry), and siblings, David Honick (children Alexis, Penelope, and Joseph), Melissa Honick-Martin (children, Braeden, Skylar, Chloe), Megan (son, Liam), Savannah, and Austin Simpson, along with a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rebekah’s life on Saturday, November 16th, 2019 at East Coast Christian Center’s The Avenue in Merritt Island, FL.  A viewing will be held beginning at 12:30 p.m. with services beginning at 1 p.m. and a social gathering immediately following.
