We called you “Uncle” as we were not related by blood but by the heart. We so enjoyed visiting with you through the years in PA, FL, and in TN. We’ll miss your jokes and your booming laughter. We’ll miss hearing your voice over the phone. Give our love to Mal. See you in Heaven.

I was fortunate to be Jack’s neighbor for nearly 10 years. I enjoyed his company and valued his knowledge and his experience. He was always such a pleasant individual. We welcomed two boys into this world and always brought them around to say hello to Mr. King. I am sorry to hear that he is no longer with us but I am happy for the time we had together and my prayers for his extended family. May you rest in paradise Jack, I will continue to use my skills that I have learned from you.

So sorry to read about Mr. King’s passing. I believe he was great friends with my dad, Frank Wirs and we all spent many fun times volunteering at the Grant Seafood Festival back in the 1960’s to 1970’s. May your happy memories get you through the trying times.

We’ll miss you, Uncle Jack. It was my sincere pleasure to spend time with you twice this year. You were always one of my favorite uncles. You might like to know that as I type this I’m sitting at the huge roll-top desk that you retrieved for me when Uncle Art and Aunt Marie died. I love this old desk. You brought it to my home in Mt. Lebanon, PA, when you and Aunt Dot heard that I wanted it.
You and Aunt Dot were so good to me. When Fred and I married, we couldn’t afford a big reception, so and Aunt Dot invited everyone to come to your house for a huge dinner cooked by Aunt Dot and probably her sister Irene. I will never forget your love and generosity.
Your loving niece,
Alice
