Obituary of Elise Victoria Kenney
Elise Victoria Kenney, 78, passed away on June 1, 2017. Born in Boston, MA, she served as an Army wife for thirty years and retired to Melbourne Beach, FL with her husband Donald in 1989.
Elise exemplified the army wife role by supporting her husband and family during their 17 moves, making each house a home with her flair for interior design. She was a member of the Officers’ Wives Club and spent many volunteer hours supporting soldiers and their families, and volunteered at the 1st Cav Museum at Ft. Hood, TX for several years.
Elise enjoyed cooking and is famous for her meat sauce. She loved sewing, gardening and traveling. Once retired she and Don traveled by RV up and down the east coast and west to Texas. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and grandpets, and spending her summers in her beloved town of Humarock, MA with family and friends.
A loving and devoted mother, her family includes her daughter Linda Kocher and husband, Bob; daughter Laura Blowey and husband, Bill; son Jimmy Kenney and wife, Pam; son Michael Kenney and grandchildren, Jimmy, Ryan, Shane, Mitchell, Jack and Madeline.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on July 1st at St. Christine’s Catholic Church in Marshfield, MA, with internment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
