Obituary of John George Deitz

John George Deitz Melbourne John George Deitz, 98, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014. George was born on August 2, 1916 in Dawson, West Virginia to the late George Luther Deitz and Betty Ann Heaster Deitz. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church, Melbourne and Masonic Lodge 89 in Huntington, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Daphine Honaker Deitz and nine brothers and sisters. He is survived by his niece, Betty Puckett; great niece Patricia (Lex) Williamson; great niece Kristie (John) Alexander and their son Jacoby; great nephew Jamie (Eva) Puckett; great niece Sandy (Ron) Cook and several other nieces and nephews. The family wants to extend their sincere thanks to everyone at Glenbrooke and his caregiver, Priscilla Mercer. Viewing will be on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 South Hickory Street, Melbourne. Interment will follow in Melbourne City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Central Baptist Church, 2503 South Country Club Road, Melbourne, Florida 32901.
