Obituary of Manuel Michael Perez
Perez, Manuel (Manny) Michael, 89, of Palm Bay, FL, formerly of Albany, NY, went to his beloved Ruthie (9/24/93) on January 15, 2017.
He is survived by his daughter, Joanna (Jody) Perez-Ostrom, son-in-law, Ed and Grandson, Zachary Manuel Perez, stepson Steve Kougher, Sr. (Bonnie), 2 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sisters Monica Paigo, Jean Valenti, Helen Tolscer, Gloria Nadeau and Maryann Stephen, numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his brothers Jamsey, Frank, John and Ritchie, sisters Marie Carroll and Anita Poulin. He was a WWII veteran with the 42nd Air Supply Squadron where he was a parachute rigger. He was in German in April of 1945. We was a truck driver (CB handle Barcelona) for 40+ years and a member of Teamsters Local #294. He drove for Eastern Freightways, Maislin and UPS where he retired at 62.
In his younger years, he loved to go fish and hunt with the men of his family and good friends. Thousands of good stories there. He was a member of the Hi-Ballers Bowling league for many years where he made many lifelong friends. He was a member of Palm Gardens Golf Course for 25+ years, making many good friends and numerous holes in one. All that knew him, loved him. He was bigger than life.
