Obituary of Livia D. Strider

Livia D. Strider, 94, died in her home surrounded by her loved ones on April 19, 2016 in Rockledge, FL.+é-á She was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico on April 1, 1922.+é-á Livia had one sister and is survived by 2 sons, their wives and 2 grandsons. Livia was an Army wife for 27 years and the last tour of duty was in the former Panama Canal Zone.+é-á She then worked as an administrative secretary for the Pan Canal Administration where she retired from Civil Service. Livia was a long time resident of Rockledge and parishioner of St. Mary’s.+é-á She loved to travel, read, spend time with friends and share her passion of gardening with others.+é-á Livia was a beloved friend to many who knew her and regarded her warmly because of her independent spirit and gracious heart.+é-á She will be thoroughly missed by her family and friends.A memorial service will be held for her at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Rockledge on Thursday, April 28th at 3 in the afternoon.In lieu of flowers the family requests you send donations to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, P.O.
