Obituary of Alma L. Ashburn Hawthorne

Alma L Ashburn Hawthorne, born on March 31, 1922, passed on July 22, 2015. Raised in Hampton VA by Mandy Callis Ashburn and Ellis Ashburn, she graduated from Hampton High School. Married to the late Aubrey Elder Hawthorne, Jr. (died 1978) of Newport News VA and the longtime companion to the late, Westley Armiger of Chester MD. Alma Lived in Baltimore and Stevensville MD, as well as in Gloverfields on Kent Island where she was a member of Kent Island Yacht Club. She later moved to Melbourne, Florida in 1994. Survived by her sons, David G. Hawthorne of Melbourne FL and Edward K. Hawthorne of Minot ND; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
