Rudy’s devotion to his County and the Marine Corps was part of his fabric and he lived each day by the slogan “The Few. The Proud.”
After being discharged, Rudy returned to the Mohawk Valley where he met his beautiful wife and started a family. Rudy and his wife Jane worked side by side owning & operating several area businesses, most notably; Herkimer Wholesale, Kuyahoora Inn (Poland, NY) and The Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Ilion. After many years in the restaurant business, Rudy continued that hospitality through his love of entertaining family and friends at his home on Canadarago Lake and in later years at his beach house in Florida. He was also an original member of the Whitestown Vets Club.
Rudy was a devoted family man and cherished every minute spent with his sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He took great pride in providing for his family. During retirement, he spent many hours chasing a good bargain and mastering the stock market as a “day trader”, activities he enjoyed up until his passing.
