I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept my condolences.
When we are grieving the loss of a loved one, we can find comfort from the scriptures. I found a couple scriptures at jw.org.
Psalm 55:22 promises that God will sustain us if we just throw our burdens on him. So we need to remember to pray.
I look forward to seeing John in the resurrection when he will again be enjoying friends/family. (John 5:28,29).
I hope these scriptures bring you as much comfort as they bring me.

Dear Alexis, children, and all family and friends,
You all have our deepest sympathy and condolences. We didn’t know Jon very long but in that time he became very dear to us. He knew we would be moving and had been telling us how much he would miss us when we left. We had no clue that Jon would leave us first. He was here the day he left this earth for his heavenly home and I so wish we had known it would be the last time we would see him. I can’t walk in my backyard and see the work he did for me without a tear or a thought of him entering my mind. We can not imagine the pain and sorrow you must feel. We know your whole life is upside down. Jon will always be with you dear ones, and when you need him the most you will the love of his arms around you. He is with us always just as God is with us always. You are all, in our thoughts and prayers. Rest In Peace Jonathan you are always loved and forever missed. I guess God needed the best so he called and you answered.
