Obituary of Kenton R. Smith

Kenton R. Smith, Sr., age 92, of Titusville, Fl passed away at home on Thursday, March 28, 2019 as he was surrounded by family and friends. Born in Greenville, S.C. on 6/18/1926, the middle child of Walter and Annie Smith. He was one of 3 children: Brother Royce and Sister Carolyn Nabors. Kenton joined the United States Navy in June of 1944 and served for 2 years till the end of World War II. Kenton worked at GMAC for 30 years before retiring and moving to Florida. Kenton leaves behind his loving wife Margaret Ann of 68 years, their children Kenton (wife Patricia) of Titusville, FL, Stephen of Titusville, Fl, & Claudia Ortopan (husband Michael) of Granada Hills, CA, 2 Grandchildren Bryce & Zachary Ortopan, Niece Carol Nabors of Columbia, S.C., & Niece Linda Johnson of Colorado Springs, CO. A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 6, 2019 at River City United Methodist Church. Kenton will be interred at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery with Military Honors on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. He was a devoted husband and father who will be missed by all.
