Obituary of James E. Smith

James E. Smith Sr., 78, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017. James was born in Meriden, Connecticut on July 21, 1939 to the late Kenneth E. and Elizabeth G. (Scali) Smith. He was a Navy Veteran. His family includes his wife of 35 years, Carol Sobchuk Johnson Smith, granddaughter Alyssa Smith, stepson Timothy (Melissa) Johnson, brother John (Jeanine) Scali, sister Rose Gillis, aunt Shirley Macri and daughter in law Debra Touchette. He was preceded in death by his son, James E. Smith Jr., brother Richard K. Smith and sisters Joan Smith and Carol Scali Smith. A graveside service with Navy honors will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US Highway #1, Mims.
