Obituary of Vera Hollis

Vera Hollis, 95, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Viera Hospital in Melbourne. She was born on February 20, 1920 in Loreo, Italy to Thomas and Olga (Pogorelic) Passarella and was the youngest of three children. At the age of 7, she moved from Switzerland to the United States by way of Ellis Island. She married John Williams and together they had two children, Thomas and Janet. She was remarried to Benjamin Hollis and together they had a daughter, Susan. Vera had a passion for antiques. She had the ability to make friends wherever she was and she was usually the life of a party. She is survived by her daughter Janet Jensen (Mike); seven grandchildren Tod Williams, Trina Williams, Jacque (Ray) Proud, Ted Williams, Janna (Kevan) Scoble, Jennifer Jensen, and Jimi (Vanessa) Jensen; eight great grandchildren Megan, Jagger, Teagen, April, Justin, Julian, Savannah and Sebastian; and a great great grandson Leo. She was preceded by her husband Benjamin Hollis; son Thomas Williams; daughter Susan Hollis; grandson Ty Williams; and great-grandson Keith.Per Vera+óGé¼Gäós wishes, there will be no formal service. The family will have a private gathering in her honor.
