Obituary of Judith Ann Gaughan
On June 4, 2018, there was a gathering of angels in Melbourne, Florida, and amongst those angels was a very unassuming one… Her name was Judith Gaughan.
What is amazing about this angel is that for the better part of 3 1/2 years, she endured everything she had to without complaint. At the end of her journey, she had nearly overcome the cancer she was battling, thanks to the compassion and help of so many.
Judy was born on March 17, 1950 in Manchester, NH.
Left to mourn her loss is her daughter, Jennifer Gaughan (Stevie); loving partner of 18 years, Rick Manny; brothers, Donald Smagula (Donna), Rene Smagula (Gail), Robert Smagula (Nancy), Roland Duval (Frances); sisters, Bonni Ouellette (David), Gloria Gionet (Dennis), Sandy Moniz (Warren), Beverly Foskin (Billy), and Joanne Gordon; as well as, many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Lucille; brother, Peter Smagula, Jr.; sisters, Elizabeth Bucky, Nancy Miller, Doris Hardy, Jeannette Guillemette and Theresa Algiers.
Judy’s incessant courage and passion for life impacted all those around her. She once said people should hug and encourage each other as much as possible because time is fleeting.
The family will be having a private ceremony at a later date.
“I love you more than you’d ever know. I am proud of the fighter you are.” – Rick
