Obituary of J.L. Depew

J.L. Depew, 68, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Palm Bay Hospital. Born in Kingsport, TN, he moved to Melbourne, FL in 2010 after retiring.  A straight A student in school, J.L. worked his way up to becoming the lead diesel mechanic of Darling International for 32 years.  With a love for speed and wheels J.L. had a helping hand in building race cars, riding Harley’s and acquiring an impressive collection of his own sports cars. J.L. was a caring and devoted husband, father, brother and Grandpa. His family includes his loving wife of 44 years, Suzanne Depew; sons, Jeffrey Kip Miller, and Timothy Ray Miller; brothers, Harold Depew, Jr., Doug Depew and Donnie Depew; sister, Darlene Depew; grandchildren, Jordan, Lacey, Shelby and David; great grandchildren, Olivia, Xander, Xayden, Elayna, and Dexton. J.L. is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Depew and sister, Linda Depew. We ask that you raise your glass to celebrate the life of a good man who aspired to live life to the fullest with laughs, friends and family. Who had a smile behind every story, a contagious laugh and a hand to always extend when needed. J.L. will be forever missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
