Obituary of Kenneth “Jack” DeHart

Jack DeHart, 87 of Palm Bay, FL formerly of Frederick, MD passed away suddenly Wednesday, May 30, 2018.
He was born June 5, 1930 in Loudoun County, VA son of the late John Robert DeHart and Mable McCormack.
He drove a tractor trailer for 22 years, a bus driver for Frederick County Public Schools for 14 years and owner of Jack’s Lawn Service for 17 years. He finally retired for good at age 83 where he and his family moved to Florida to enjoy life. He was a family man and had a great love for pugs. He was a former volunteer with the Frederick County 4-H and Boy Scout Troop #274. He was once an active member with the Gaithersburg Washington Grove Fire Department. He had a smile that would light up a room and left an impression on just about everyone he met. He was looking forward to meeting his new grandson due to arrive August 2018.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Nancy Burrier DeHart; son Kenny DeHart and wife Lauren; daughter Kathy DeHart; daughter Helen Combs and husband Tommy; daughter Rose Evans; granddaughters Kennedi and Ella DeHart and April Roberts; grandson Jeff Evans; brother Roger DeHart and wife Teresa and brother Ronnie “HotShot” DeHart; numerous nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. He will also be remembered by life long friends Mike Rourke and wife Jeannetta and Andy Swell and wife Eva.
He is proceded in death by his sister, Glenna M. Ennis; sister Roselee Griffin; brother John DeHart; brother Pete DeHart; brother John “Jr” DeHart and son in law Gary Evans.
A celebration of Jack life will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the home of Andy and Eva Swell, 4926 Valley Pine Dr. Frederick, Maryland, at 1:00 p.m.
