Obituary of Robert “Will” Lyde Williams

Robert “Willy” Lyde Williams, age 80, passed away Friday June 8, 2018 in Melbourne Beach.  He was born in Brooklyn, NY June 17, 1937. He served in the Navy from 1954-1958.  Robert worked as an arborist, tree surgeon with the Essex County Parks in Newark, New Jersey.  Married his beautiful bride, Linda in 1969.  He was an avid Harley Rider, enjoyed his many retirement years fishing, riding motorcycles with friends, and spending time with family.  He was quick to help others and was known as the neighborhood handyman. Robert is survived by his wife, Linda, three children: Mark Williams, Jennifer Williams, Giuli-Ann Marchiano, and his sister Marlene Marsch. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Lucas and Kyle Williams, Mia and Ella Marchiano. Services will be held at Immaculate Conception, 3780 S. Highway A1A, Melbourne Beach, FL 32951 on Wednesday June 13th at 2pm.  The interment will be at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery 5525 US-1, Mims, FL 32754 on Thursday June 14th at 10:30am, with US Navy Honors.
