Obituary of Carolyn June Pappas
Carolyn June (nee Straka) Pappas, born October 25, 1941 in Allentown, PA – a great student, she always paid attention to details. A graduate of North Miami Senior High School in 1959, Carolyn met and married Plato Steve Pappas on an airplane traveling from Miami to Philadelphia in 1962, they married and lived in Allentown, PA for a few years, owning a magnificent stone home, built by a descendant of William Penn.
Carolyn’s home has always been a focal point of her life. In the mid 60’s Steve and Carolyn moved to
Spring Valley, NY. In 1969 their son Alexander was born, they lived in Spring Valley until Steve passed in 1985.
Carolyn, Alexander and Sophia (her mom) moved to Colorado, where Carolyn created another great home in Fort Collins. While in Fort Collins, she was involved with the Symphony Guild, Service League and other philanthropic activities.
In 1996, Carolyn, Alexander and Sophia moved to Indialantic, FL, where Carolyn revamped and designed the interior of another great home. Carolyn became a Realtor and was known for being able to find the right home for you. In 2017 Carolyn and Alexander moved to West Melbourne and she created her last masterpiece.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Alexander; brother, David (Sharon) Straka; brother, Dr. Arthur (Joan) Pappas; special cousin, Donald (Sandy) Phillip; along with numerous other cousins and her special friends, Joe and Christine Hackford.
