Obituary of Robert Randall Ross
Mr. Robert Randall Ross (Randy Ross) of Miami, Florida passed away on Sept 17th 2018 as a result of an auto accident. He was 64 years old.
Randy was born in Neodesha, Kansas, graduated from Cypress Lake High School in Ft. Myers, Florida, and lived in Tampa and Connecticut before settling in the heart of Miami, Florida. He loved the hustle and bustle of the big city where he met his wife Joyce and accepted her daughter, Brendine, as his own when they married in 1994.
Randy was a gentle soul with a stubborn streak and a love of pulling practical jokes. His love of music began at an early age and he taught himself to play many musical instruments including guitar, piano, the harmonica and a dulcimer that his father handmade. He played the drums in the high school marching band. He battled diabetes from childhood (age 5) without complaint.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 24 years, Lucy “Joyce” Ross, daughter, Brendine Rolle, Mother, Beverly Keener; Sisters, Janet Cohen, Judy (Frank) Moschette, Joni (Roz) Tyre; Nephews, Bryan (Stephanie) Moschette and Adam Smithson and his Nieces, Taylor Underwood, Addison Tyre; Great Nephew, Rocco Moschette.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert Alexander Ross III and his sister Jill Underwood.
An intimate memorial service was held at Unity in the Grove Church in Lakeland, FL on Sept. 21 at 4:00 pm. The service was officiated by Rev. Jeff W. Myatt. Another service will be planned in Miami at a later date.
