Obituary of Talaat K. Mitri

Talaat K. Mitri, 87, of Melbourne, passed away on March 30, 2016. He is survived by his second wife, the former Carolyn Bridges Craig; his son from his first marriage, Paul T. Mitri and his wife Suzanne; and two grandchildren, Anika and Jamison Mitri. Mr. Mitri was born in a small village in Egypt on Dec 9, 1928. He later earned his Master+óGé¼Gäós degree from Oregon State Univ and attended the Univ of Illinois for his PhD in Entomology. He taught at Eastern Illinois Univ, and later at Lake Land College, where he developed the original Life Science Department in 1967.
