Obituary of Patricia Green

Patricia Green, who was better known as GÇ£Mom-MomGÇ¥, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 15, 2014. She was born September 4, 1947 in Washington, DC to Arthur and Frances (Houghton) Johnson. Mom-Mom was a wonderful, beautiful woman who left an impression on every person she ever met. She was so kind yet so stubborn all at the same time. She could make any one laugh and her favorite expression of excitement was “Hot Damn!” She would always laugh when I tried to duplicate her signature expression, no one can say it like her! As recent as Friday, December 12, 2014, she watched her great-grandson, Carter like she did every Thursday and Friday. She spent a wonderful weekend with her granddaughter, Emily, shopping and decorating for Christmas. She was a breast cancer survivor and had more strength then she ever even realized. She always did everything she could to help those around her. She loved like no other and left a legacy, to live on through our family. We thought we had at least another 10 years with her! Finding her on Monday night in her apartment was a terrifying shock. It will take our family weeks, months, maybe years to overcome. We love you and will miss you so very much Mom-Mom. Merry Christmas, until we meet again in heaven. She is survived by her daughter, Melonie (Wesley) Reid; her granddaughters, Frances Hope (Tim Cook) Reid, Alexandra Hailey Reid, Emily Grace Reid; her grandson, Wesley Todd Reid; her great-granddaughter, Calianna Cook; her great-grandson, Carter Cook; her sister, Jean Norris; and her brother, Ted Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her cousin, Kathryn Green. Arrangements entrusted to Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, Melbourne, (321) 724-2222. Rev. Robert Hoeffner will celebrate Patricia’s Funeral Mass on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5310 Babcock Street, N.E., Palm Bay 32905.
