Obituary of Billy “Bill” Jack Wright

Billy “Bill” Jack Wright, age 83 of Melbourne, Florida, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2019. He was born on August 26, 1936 in Lyons, Georgia to Charley E. Wright and his wife, Ella Jane Pitman, both of whom preceded him in death. Bill grew up on a small farm in Lyons, GA and played football and baseball at Lyons High School. After graduation, he moved to Miami, FL in 1953 where he later met and married Dorothy “Dottie” A. Sheline of Rochester, PA . They moved to Melbourne, FL in 1964, where they raised two children. Bill had a successful career in the banking and finance industry until retirement in 2008. He was a member of the Optimist Club and Mortgage Bankers Association. Some of his greatest enjoyments were playing slot tournaments in Vegas, being at home with his loving cats Tom and Jerry, and attending his Lyons High School Class Reunions in Lyons, Georgia. Go Bulldogs! Bill was preceded in death by his wife Dottie. He is survived by his son Glenn Wright and daughter-in-law Jeanise Ryser-Wright, daughter Denise Wright and grandson Nicholas Gonzalez.
