Obituary of Timothy E. Siverling
Mr. Timothy E. +óGé¼+ôTim+óGé¼-¥ Siverling died peacefully in his home after a long illness on August 28, 2015, in Palm Bay, Florida, at the age of 63.
Tim was born on January 5, 1952, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to Charles and Virginia (Groff) Siverling. He graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School in 1969 and Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in Lancaster, in 1971 with a degree in printing. Tim married Marsha Baumler, his high school sweetheart, in 1972. While attending Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, he began working for Lancaster Newspapers, Inc. as a printing press operator and moved to the composing room. After moving to Palm Bay, Florida, in 1997, Tim began working for MediaSpan Software as a logistics engineer.
Tim started his basketball coaching career at Saint Joseph+óGé¼Gäós Catholic School in Lancaster. He continued his coaching career at Lancaster Catholic High School (LCHS) as the JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach. Tim helped coach the Girls LCHS varsity program to a state title in 1989. He was also active in his children+óGé¼Gäós sports programs, knowledgeable about animals of all kinds, enjoyed being outdoors, and his love of gardening fed his family well.
Tim is survived by his wife, Marsha (Baumler) Siverling; children: Abby (Siverling) Griffith and her wife Megan of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Leigh Siverling of Riverview, Florida, and Timothy Siverling Jr. and his wife Suzanne of Melbourne, Florida; and his three granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert C. Siverling, of San Francisco, California.
