Obituary of David Wade Carroll

David Wade Carroll, 57, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019. He was a beloved father, grandfather, son, “puppy brother,” nephew and friend. David’s parents were Shirley Carroll (mother), and Wade Carroll (father, deceased). His surviving family includes his daughter Courtney Carroll Frazier, son-in-law John Mark Frazier Jr., grandson Easton Lane Frazier, and siblings Debbie Clark (Burt), Christy Heskel (Neil), and Randy Carroll (Janice). He was lovingly known as “Monkey David” to his nieces and nephews. David was born on July 13th, 1962 in Great Falls, Montana,  He was an avid fisherman and a big cut up with the ability to make everyone laugh.  He is survived by his beloved senior dog Diesel (12), who he purchased at a flea market in Homosassa on a whim.  David loved his “grown up toys” — his boat and his F150, which he chose in a garnet color to display his FSU pride. A fisherman to his core, David’s happiest memories and best days were spent on the water catching redfish. He often reminisced on childhood memories of fishing, especially the time that he caught a huge bass and proudly rode home with it balanced on his bike handle bars.  David worked for almost 30 years at the same company, and showed true grit and dedication when he showed up to work nearly every day, regardless of how he was feeling.  David’s greatest joy was his daughter and grandson.  Whenever David had a sucky day at work, a picture of Easton would quickly brighten his mood. He would say “that is one cool kid.” A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
